Join us for our classes!
There is a collective urge to become more self-reliant and Quinn’s Quails provides classes for beginners who want to get started raising quail and individuals who want to learn more or troubleshoot quail issues.
Come learn how to raise backyard quail from Sarah!
We soon hope to bring you cooking classes with a local Executive Chef, children’s quail raising, worm-composting (vermicomposting) and other sustainable living classes.
Raising Backyard Quail for Eggs
Quail are the new backyard chicken! Hens start laying in 6-8 weeks and lay about 300 eggs a year. Come learn how to get started! If you’ve been thinking about lowering your impact on the environment and raising your self-sustainability, quails are the perfect way to easily and ethically source protein. They are great for suburban and HOA living as they make very little noise, unlike chickens!
Processing Quail for Meat
Though much smaller than chicken, quail meat is a delicious alternative that you can raise in your own backyard. Depending on the variety (standard vs. jumbo), quails can weigh between 5-16 ounces.
