Our Story

We are Sarah and Andrew. Quinn’s Quails is our small, family-owned business in the Sacramento area, specializing in raising coturnix (Japanese) quails for restaurants and grocers, hatching eggs, and meat. Sarah graduated with a degree in Veterinary Technology, and Andrew graduated culinary school and works as an Executive Chef for a National sports entertainment catering company.

In 2019, living in the suburbs, we decided as a family to begin a new journey toward sustainability and self-sufficiency. We started out with some vegetable starts, an herb garden and not a whole lot of knowledge.

In 2021, as our home garden and know-how grew we decided to invest in raising quails. What started out as 12 young Jumbo Pharaoh Coturnix Quail hens living in a rabbit hutch, quickly turned into many more quails living in large aviaries and a small hatching egg business.

In 2022 as our egg business became larger we were ready for expansion. Currently we are supplying a few businesses in Downtown Sacramento with eggs, as well as continuing our hatching egg business. Our business continues to grow at a steady pace.
