Have you been thinking about raising quail but you don’t know where to start? Maybe you don’t want to make the commitment to buying equipment and raising quail just yet. We can help you with that!
Our quail renting subscription provides everything you will need to care for 8 or 16 egg-laying quail hens. Whether you have a tiny patio in the city, a suburban backyard, or live on acreage, raising quail for eggs has never been easier.

How does Rent a Quail work?

First you’ll need to decide whether you want to rent 8 quail hens or 16. Quails lay approximately 5-6 eggs per week each!
For a single person home we recommend the 8 hen subscription. This subscription yields approximately 40-48 eggs per week - the equivalent of 10-12 chicken eggs. If you don’t need many eggs, this subscription can work out well for a family of 2 as well.
The housing unit for this subscription only takes up 8 square feet (4ft wide x 2ft deep x 3ft tall).
For a family of 2 or more we recommend the 16 hen subscription. This subscription yields approximately 80-96 eggs per week - the equivalent of 20-24 chicken eggs.

Next you’ll decide on the length of your subscription.
We recommend a minimum subscription length of 2 months, although you can choose any length of time that suits your needs. This will allow time for the birds to acclimate to their new environment so they are comfortable enough to lay their eggs for you. This also gives you sufficient time to try out raising quail and determine if the quail-raising life is for you (or not).
Our subscriptions are flexible. You can choose to rent month-to-month, for 3 months, or for 6 months at a time.
A refundable deposit (and first month’s rent for month-to-month subscriptions) is due.
Once you’ve decided how many quail hens you want and how long you want them for, it’s time to get ready!
You can choose to pick up the quails and supplies yourself or to have everything delivered and set up for you.
Pick-up yourself: you must be able to fit the hutch, birds, and any supplies into your vehicle.
Delivery & Set-up: We deliver and set up the housing unit, birds, and any supplies.
Whether you choose delivery or pick-up, we will provide you with a handbook with tricks, tips, and FAQ along with all other necessary supplies.
Enjoy the quails and their delicious eggs for the duration of your subscription!
We provide assistance by text or phone call during your rental period should you have any questions or need to troubleshoot any issues. We are always here to help and want your experience to be a success.
When your subscription ends, you can choose to drop off the quails and supplies, or we can pick them up for you.
Think you’re ready to commit to raising your own quails?
You can also choose to purchase the quails and supplies outright. Your deposit will be used toward this purchase.

Both subscriptions come with a month of feed, bedding, and supplements. Everything we supply you with can be found at your local feed/tractor supply store or online, but you may want something more convenient instead. This is why we provided the ability to purchase multiple months of supplies and receive them up front at the start of your subscription.
