Raising Backyard Quail -$30 per person

In this class, you will learn how to:

• choose the breed of quail that's right for you

• create housing to help your quail thrive

• choose the right feed for chicks and adults

• find the supplements quail need

• manage males to keep hens safe and happy

What you’ll see:

You'll take a farm tour and see several examples of housing (brooder, tiered cage, and three aviaries). If you are interested in raising quail for meat, you can stick around for an optional 20-minute demonstration of quail processing. (Hands-on processing classes are offered separately.)

What you'll get:

Participants will get a quail care guide, a list of quail resources, and a pair of quail egg scissors.
